• Appointments - We see scheduled office and surgical appointments as well as walk in emergencies. Please call our office for an appointment 505-828-1136
• Emergency/Walk in appointments - We do accept walk-in emergency appointments during our hours of operation, and will do our best to care for you animal as soon as possible. Please keep in mind we are a busy hospital and wait times vary (30 mins- 5 hours) drastically based on current appointment standing and doctor availability, however we are happy to have a technician triage your animal as soon as you arrive. If possible, please call ahead and inform us of the situation at hand. 
• Visiting the hospitalized patient - We know that having a pet hospitalized is a stressful situation for the patient and owner alike. We encourage visiting your hospitalized pet and can help you arrange appropriate visitation times.
• Can I be billed for veterinary services? - No. All fees for services rendered are due at the time of discharge.  Payment can be made by Mastercard,Visa,personal check or cash.  Estimates for veterinary services can be prepared following examination of your pet. Unfortunately we do not work directly with pet insurance, yet are happy to provide itemized reciepts for you to file a claim with your provider. 
• After hours care - The Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center handles our after hours emergencies.  They can be reached at 505-884-3433.  Emergencies during our regular office hours will be handled by the staff of Northview Animal Hospital.  Please call when you are on your way, if possible.
• Referral to specialists - In surgical or medical cases that require a specialist, we work closely with the specialists at Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center and occasionally other specialists in New Mexico and other states.
